๐ŸŽฏ PURPOSE

As part of the recruiting process, candidates who are applying to professional and office roles are asked to provide contact information for 2-3 references. Hiring managers will later use this data to complete reference checks if they wish to make an offer to a candidate.

Contact information for these references is obtained using a post-application questionnaire sent to the candidate's email address through Dayforce. At time of scheduling the interview, recruiting personnel will inform the candidate that if an offer is made, reference checks will be required and that the offer for employment is contingent on the reference checks.

Recruiting personnel will then complete these steps below to send the candidate the Request for References form.


๐Ÿ”„ PROCESS

  1. In Dayforce, logged in under the Manager Role, navigate to Recruiting and open the job requisition to view the candidates.
  2. Within the requisition, select the checkbox beside the name of the candidate who is being offered the role; that candidateโ€™s row will be highlighted.
  3. In the upper right, select More, which will open a dropdown menu.
  4. Select Contact, and then select Send Post-Application Questionnaire.

  5. A pop-up window will open. Make the following selections:
    • From: Select the name of the hiring manager. (There will be one or more options depending on who was included as an additional user on the requisition.)
    • Post-Application Questionnaire: Select Request for References.
    • Expiration in Days: This will default to 7 and can be left as-is.

  6. Select OK. This sends the form to the candidate via email.
  7. After the candidate completes the form, the form including the reference contact information they entered can later be viewed under Screening > Questionnaires.
  8. The hiring manager will later use the references obtained by this form if they wish to offer the candidate, following O-6-105 Conduct a Candidate Reference Check.
