O-14-211 Review SUPERVISOR FOLLOW UP OF CLINICALLY SIGNIFICANT EVENT Note

🎯 Purpose:

Clinical Supervisor will use the SUPERVISOR FOLLOW-UP OF CLINICALLY SIGNIFICANT EVENT note to track and manage follow-up that has been escalated to the supervisor for oversight. Refer to O-11-214 Create SUPERVISOR FOLLOW-UP OF CLINICALLY SIGNIFICANT EVENT Note for details on when the note should be created.


🔄 Process:

  1. Go to Review Coordination Notes:

  1. Go to Note Type: Supervisor Follow Up of Clinically Significant Event:

  1. To document follow-up or delegated follow up, right click on coordination note, select Medical Records —> Coordination Notes:

  1. Find appropriate coordination note, select Edit:

  1. At the TOP of the note, enter down, add the date and updated comments. Include initials:


  1. Select Save and Close:

  1. Return to Review Coordination Notes workflow and select Load:

  1. The top few lines of the coordination note is visible in the Note Preview. Use this information to track updates:

  1. Repeat steps 2-5 to document additional follow up, delegated tasks or items to track until issue is resolved.

NOTE: For any resolution regarding clinically significant medication issues, create a Clinically Significant Medication Issue coordination note.


10.  When follow-up is completed and issue is resolved, open coordination note in workflow and add final follow up comment:

12.  Select Save & Close:

13.  Select Note Reviewed:
