O-6-103 Submitting an Internal Job Requisition
π€ Role
Hiring Manager or Designee
ATTENTION
Must have Manager Role in Dayforce
π― Purpose
When a hiring manager needs to post a job internally only to current employees on the Dayforce Careers page, they must submit a new job requisition to Recruiting. The hiring manager must specify that the position is intended to be posted internally only under Additional Notes as described in this process.
If the requisition is being created for one specific internal candidate, that personβs name must be added in the Additional Notes section to remove the need for additional external communication outside of Dayforce. If the current employee is transitioning to a different position or job title, that candidate will also need to apply for the job posting within Dayforce.
NOTE
After the requisition is posted and an employee is offered and accepts an offer letter, the hiring manager must hire the employee to their new role through the candidate profile listed in the requisition.
This step moves the employee to their new role according to the effective date indicated. Moving an employee to a new role must not be completed within Forms in the employee record.
π Process
In Dayforce under the Manager Role, select Recruiting from the menu.
Click New.
Choose Location (Office), Job Assignment and Hiring Manager.
The hiring manager will be the main point of contact, but additional users can be added at the bottom of the page and all listed will also be able to access the requisition/candidates.
- The Job Description field can be left blank or as-is. Recruiting will add the Job Description prior to posting.
Add the Number of Openings and select Pay Class and Pay Type.
Use the Additional Notes field to include any specific information about the posting.
EXAMPLES
- Internal Posting Only
- Hours, Schedule, and On-Call rotation frequency
- (if applicable) The full name of the candidate who will be immediately filling the posted position. This is used for cases in which a requisition is created specifically for a current employee who must be issued a new offer letter.

- Click Submit.
