🎯 Purpose

To describe the process for addressing visits that a clinician has sent back to the office as "reschedule". Visits that are selected to be "rescheduled" should be assigned to the same clinician but different date as specified. This task is assigned to the Staffing Manager. Start of Care Visits or Add-On Evals scheduled by Intake require this task to be processed by the Staffing Manager however, the actual visit will be rescheduled by Intake.


πŸ”„ Process

Clinicians have the option to select "Reschedule" for both pending and accepted visits (including visits for future dates). Clinicians can only request to move a visit within the current Medicare week.

Subsequent visits rescheduled by qualified clinicians using Rapid Reschedule will not generate workflow tasks to the Staffing Manager. The schedule will automatically update on the PointCare device for the clinician.

From the Patient Related Tasks tab in the Workflow Console:

  1. Select RESCHEDULE VISIT:

  2. Select "View Visit Rescheduled Report":

    Review the report:

    1. Note the Scheduled Visit Date and the Days Rescheduled. If the number is positive, then the request is to move the visit forward that many days. If the number is negative, then the request is to move the visit back that number of days.
    2. Example: -1: Move one day prior; 1: Move to the next day
  3. Close or minimize report. Select Reschedule Visit.

NOTE:

Start of Care/Add-On Evals:

If visit was originally scheduled by Intake, alert will prompt user to reassign visit from the Workflow Console:

Select β€œStage Completed” and the task will route to Intake to reschedule visit. Follow up with Intake to ensure visit is rescheduled appropriately.

  1. If the scheduling console displays, click and drag the visit you want to move from the original date to the new date. Refer back to the Visit Rescheduled Report to confirm the requested change:

  2. Select Yes to confirm the move.

  3. Close out of Scheduling Console
  4. Select Stage Completed in the Workflow Task

⚠️ Reminder

Visits that are sent back as "Rescheduled" do NOT generate a Missed Visit Notification. Therefore, visit must be rescheduled back out to a worker and then may be marked as missed by the PointCare user if appropriate (and then missed visit process completed). Do not select "Don’t Reschedule Visit".
