O-6-306 Employee Authorization of Time Worked via Mobile Application

👤 EMPLOYEE TYPES

Salaried Non-Exempt Field

Salaried Non-Exempt Office

Hourly Office

🎯 PURPOSE

When an employee uses the Dayforce time clock, the employee must review and authorize their time worked within their employee timesheet in Dayforce. By following this process, the employee reviews their time entries for accuracy and completes employee authorization of shifts worked.

This will be later followed by manager authorization, which allows the employee’s time worked to be processed by payroll.

These instructions give the steps for completing this employee authorization of time worked within a mobile application.

NOTE: There may be slight differences in the mobile application appearance between Android and iOS (Apple) devices. The screenshots in this process are from an Android device.

🔄 PROCESS

  1. Logged into the Dayforce mobile application under the employee role, select the Menu icon in the upper left corner of the app. The menu will expand.

  2. Select Timesheet. The timesheet will display all time punches with the selected week’s timeframe.

  3. Review all time punches for accuracy and make any needed corrections.
    • Swipe up/down to view dates within the week.
    • To navigate to other weeks, select dates from the top of the screen or swipe right/left.
  4. Any auto-detected problems will create a red bar within that week. Review and correct any displayed problems, and save any corrections made.

  5. After confirming accuracy, authorize all your times worked.
    1. To authorize an individual shift, select the specific shift and tap the slide bar to authorize. Tap the checkmark to save.

    2. To authorize multiple shifts at once:
      • Select multiple shifts within a week.
      • The Authorize button will appear at the top of your screen.

      • Select Authorize and then click Save to save your changes.

  6. Each authorized shift will now have a blue icon, indicating that the shift has been authorized by the employee.

  7. Later, after the manager has reviewed and authorized your shift, a second icon will appear in red alongside the blue icon.
