O-4-401 Berry Dunn OASIS Courses Management

PURPOSE:

To establish a standardized process for implementing, monitoring clinician progress and managing unsuccessful testing attempts within the Berry Dunn OASIS Training Courses, ensuring appropriate support and education are provided.

PROCESS:

  1. Initiate the Berry Dunn Oasis training courses depending on the new clinician’s experience and readiness dependent on the following:
    • Previous home care experience
    • Previous Oasis experience
    • Current readiness to progress with orientation process
    • Email adara@adarahomehealth.com to enroll clinician
  2. Once initiated, follow-up on progression and understanding will be conducted periodically by Supervisor.
    • Clinician will begin with a Pre-Test- approx. 1 hour (needs uninterrupted time)
    • Recommend clinician takes 1-2 courses each week (approx. 30 minutes each).
    • Clinician will end with the Post-Test – approx. 1 hour (needs uninterrupted time).
      • An OASIS Field Certification will be e-mailed to the learner from Berry Dunn for a score of 80% or higher.
  3. Course Attempt Limits:
    • Clinicians enrolled in the Berry Dunn OASIS Training Courses are allowed up to three attempts per module.
    • After three unsuccessful attempts, the clinician will be locked out of further testing for that module.
  4. After First Failed Attempt:
    • The clinician should independently review course materials and prepare for the next attempt.
  5. After Second Failed Attempt:
    • The clinician must contact their preceptor or clinical supervisor for support.
    • The preceptor or clinical supervisor will coordinate with the Clinical Compliance Specialist at the branch location to provide targeted education on areas of difficulty.
  6. After Third Failed Attempt:
    • The clinician must collaborate with:
      • Their preceptor
      • Their clinical supervisor
    • The Clinical Quality Manager must be notified.
    • Additional education, coaching, and resources will be provided as needed to address knowledge gaps.
  7. Request for Course Reset:
    • If the clinician requires an additional attempt after three failures:
      • The clinical supervisor must submit a request via email to support@adarahomehealth.com
      • The request should include:
        • Clinician name
        • Course/module name
        • Justification for reset
    • Upon approval, course attempts will be reset to allow re-testing.
