O-6-407 Account Delegation Setup via Mobile Application

🎯 Purpose

In Dayforce, delegation allows one individual to give another individual access to their account and complete tasks under a delegation profile. This feature is designed to be used by managers who are delegating tasks to be completed by another manager during time away from work.

Common tasks completed via delegation during a manager’s absence would be: review of employee timesheets, manager-authorization of shifts worked, and entry and authorization of pay adjustments.

This process gives instructions on how a manager may set up delegated access to their account via the Dayforce mobile application.

NOTE

There may be slight differences in the mobile application appearance between Android and iOS (Apple) devices. The screenshots in this process are from an Android device.


πŸ”„ Process

  1. Log into Dayforce on your mobile application.
  2. Navigate to your profile.
    1. Select the circular icon containing

      your initials.

    2. A pop-up window will open. Select My Profile.

  3. Scroll down to the bottom of your profile and select Delegation Access.

  4. The screen will change to the delegates screen. Select the Add icon in the lower right corner of the screen.

  5. A search field will open. Search for and select the manager to whom you would like to delegate access to your manager role. A new screen will display.

  6. Complete the following fields:
    1. Details: Select the reason for the delegation from the dropdown.

      πŸ’‘  The reason most commonly used is β€œVacation – Paid Leave Time”.

    2. Effective Period: Select the effective to/from dates during which the individual should have access to your account.

    3. Private Information Access: Un-toggle all four toggles so that they are turned off. This will give more permissions to the delegate. Turning on these toggles would restrict access for the delegate, which in most cases is not helpful.

  7. To save the delegation, select the check box in the upper right corner.

  8. After saving, the delegation will appear in a list format in the delegation access area in the mobile application, indicating that the delegation has been saved successfully.
